Welcome to the MESH or Mandatory Eight-hour Safety and Health Training.
Course objectives:
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
Explain the importance of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH),
Explain the basic concepts of OSH towards an effective implementation in the workplace,
Explain the basic rules and measures against safety and health hazards,
State the application of controlling hazards and risks,
State how to respond to workplace emergencies, and
Identify the prescribed administrative requirements and penalties for violations.
This training is divided into 6 modules.
Module 01 – Introduction to OSH
Module 02 – Understanding OSH
Module 03 – Recognizing Safety Hazards, and appropriate Control measures
Module 04 – Application of Hazards Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC)
Module 05 – Workplace Emergency Preparedness
Module 06 – Compliance with Administrative OSH Requirements
Assessment:
Quizzes: At the end of each module, you’ll be required to take a quiz. These quizzes will consist of multiple-choice questions and short activities.
Post-Test: A final post-test examination will be conducted to assess your overall understanding of the training material.
Minimum Score: To receive a certificate, you must achieve a minimum score of 90% on the post-test examination.
Re-Entry Plan: In addition to the post-test, you’ll need to submit a Re-Entry Plan, which outlines your future plans and how you’ll apply the knowledge gained from the training.
Retakes: You have the flexibility to retake quizzes and post-Test as many times as needed to improve your scores.
Certificate:
Completion: Upon successfully completing the training, including achieving the minimum score and submitting the Re-Entry Plan, you’ll receive a certificate.
